Can Marleaux Bass Guitars Do FIVE Bass Events in FOUR Weeks?
German luthier Gerald Marleaux and his team are always high energy performers—but this fall even the amazing Marleaux team was challenged. They were asked to build an extra 25 instruments in two weeks for presentation at five different world-class Bass Events. But Gerald Marleaux isn't panicking – he knows his operation can handle it – and who needs sleep, anyway?
Yes, this highly acclaimed German bass builder will be showcasing 25 instruments at the „London Bass Guitar Show“, the „Guitar Summit“ in Mannheim, Germany, das „Marleaux Tiefgang Bass Camp“ in Lautenthal, Germany, and clinics at „Ridin’ Bass“ in Seoul, South Korea über die Bühne. "We’re building 25 extra instruments on top of our regular output, which already includes top-sellers like the Contra, Diva, Consat and Tiuz", says Marleaux.
The latest exciting innovation from Marleaux is the microphone-based pickup system (no piezo!) in the Contra model. Placed in the hollow parts of the instrument’s body, it produces a mindblowing acoustic sound of incredible warmth and lots of tonal detail. Says Marleaux: "We discovered this new pickup system design working with German bass virtuoso Heiko Jung. Ridin’ Bass in South Korea even placed an extra order just for the Contra and we’re excited to bring those instruments with us for the clinics."
Wait, that's FOUR Bass Events ... what's FIVE? The FIFTH event is the very popular "Lords of the Low End", which will take place this year October 26th in Brooklyn, NY.
